December 18th, 2006

Tonights lecture is based on the gosho, Happiness in this World. Some of the headings include:

  • Why we practice Faith
  • Opening the door to our Buddha wisdom
  • Snakes in the cupboard
  • Tatsunokuchi – walking the talk
  • Mutual possession of the ten worlds
  • My friend Jack
  • If you want a drink, stay at home with your wife
  • Strenthen your faith more than ever

Ten Worlds
Oh, new one, book review! The book we reviewed tonight was A Quest for Global Peace by Joseph Rotblat & Daisaku Ikeda. The book was published by I.B. Tauris in 2007 and the ISBN numbers we have are ISBN 978-1-84511-279-0 and ISBN 1-84511-279-2.

Music from tonights show comes from the Podsafe Music Network. Stavia sings Lucky Day and the wonderful Vittoria Conn sings a great christmas number, Merry Christmas Angel. And three anonymous young women sing, on behalf of all the young women who sang at the recent UK District Leaders Training Course at Trets, a poem by President Ikeda.

Peace and Goodwill to everyone!

  2. I would like to thank Charlie for posting the web address for the video on SGI site…it was soooo very good & it is a means by which I can introduce Buddhism to many friends and family. I have been wondering how to approach the subject without being forceful…this is a perfect start. Thank you!
