It's been a little while since this came out, but I wanted to tell you all that every time I feel a little more fear than faith and need a fresh shot of courage, all I have to do is picture that track of burned out forest circumnavigating the Center. What a powerful image!

And thanks, also, Pete, for helping us understand what all those lovely, graceful but inscrutable jots and tittles on the Gohonzon actually mean. Like all Buddhist study, this lecture has enriched my practice.

Hey guys!

I can't believe you shouted out to me! OK, I can believe it, but I'm still thrilled. It makes me feel famous! I'm still laughing about hearing my own name. How crazy is that? Anyway, thanks for all your hard work, and I hope everything goes really well for you. You've been a big help to me.

WoW! Pete is a great lecturer! Thank you! But my favorite part was the two of you just schmoozing over tea. I hope you'll do this often. I have shamelessly plagiarized several of Pete's points.

I agree with Chili! This is also one of my favourite episodes so far. (And believe me, it's hard to choose!) I logged on to your site immediately after receiving notice that there was a good chance that my application for a gohonzon would be rejected.

This podcast helped me to be at peace with the idea of using my pre-gohonzon period to study to the very depths of "what it's about", and to understand that the complications of getting the gohonzon are part of my personal karma which I can use to encourage and motivate the shakabukus that I already have and will have in the future.

The song that followed "Love is Never Wasted"really felt like a message to me to stay strong in my belief and my chanting. When I am in doubt about all of this, I only have to look back at the marvelous changes and unexpected miracles that have occurred in my life and the lives of my beloved friends and family since I started chanting 2 1/2 years ago and I realize it's a no-brainer about whether to stay the course or not.

The letter you read in the end, was so powerful as well. NMRK has helped me emerge from the most difficult of struggles - even as recently as this month when we were enduring one of the most complicated concert tours we'd ever had, in Russia.(I've been back a day-and-a-half now an am still baffled at how some many problematic situations unfolded so easily with the help of my morning/evening gongyos... and a great deal of NMRK's in between!)

I'll more than likely be listening to this podcast again. It was so many things wrapped into one, that the only way I'll be able to soak up and retain all the details will be to listen to it over again!
Blessings from Amsterdam!
