A Buddhist Podcast – The Drum at the Gate of Thunder – Part 1

November 15th, 2018

Tonights episode is the first of a few lectures on a letter Nichiren Daishonin wrote to Sennichi-Ama known as The Drum at the Gate of Thunder.Â

As the first lecture in some time, Jason talks about Buddhist study and goes into some depth on the background to this letter. He starts to explain some of the first passages and then, realizing he has run out of time, rather abruptly ends. Seriously, he has already started writing the next part! The podcast finishes with a wonderful song by the incredibly talented Jody Gnant, from the album Pivot, Great Day is one of Jasons all time favourite tracks! Check out her Jody’s website!

Thank you so much for listening, have a wonderful week!

  1. I am writing to you for the first time to express my gratitude to you and other contributors notably William on your podcasts. I have been listening to your podcasts for last 4-5 months since introduced to your podcast by a fellow practitioner from Bangalore, India. I have been practising Nichiren Buddhism under Bharat Soka Gakkai, SGI affiliate in India. Thank you for being a companion regularly on my 2-hour round drive to and fro office from home. Eagerly waiting for the part 2 of this podcast on The Drum at the Gate of Thunder. No pressure, take your time. You are doing wonderful.

    Regards,

    Sachchidanand
