June 1st, 2008

Tonights lecture is based on a letter written by Nichiren Daishonin called, “Condolences on a Deceased Husband”. Highlight headlines include:

  • 1278 – So what?
  • Li Ju-hsien
  • Yet I feel joy
  • Dr Martin Luther King
  • Hated more than thieves
  • The price of piety
  • Curtailing liberties
  • Prayer rooted in action
  • A fingernail of dirt

Music from tonights show is from the Podsafe Music Network. Its a double bill from the great band Great Big Sea. We play two of their tracks, Own True Way and Something Beautiful. There are shout outs and slurps of tea and I have no idea how it all fitted in! Thank you for listening. If you like the show let us know or post a review on Itunes! Have a great week!NB. The first file we posted had a quiet patch around the 50 minute mark, we have fixed the problem and have reposted in case you may to download it again. Our sincere apologies for any confusion or inconvenience.

  4. Excellent show, as always. I am amazed at how well you research your topics and the amazing insights you provide. I am also interested in knowing if you have a 30 second or one minute promo produced that I can play on my podcast, Indie 500 Show. Very different topic, but you never know when an incredible Buddhist podcast will change your life for the better ;o)
