The Case for Buddhism Part 1 – Chapter 1 and Part 1 of Chapter 2

January 24th, 2015

Welcome back to A Buddhist Podcast!

On tonights show we have William Woollard  reading from his new book, The Case For Buddhism! William reads Chapter 1 and part 1 of Chapter 2. It includes a refreshingly honest experience from William on how he started to practice!

Of course we have music from the Podsafe Music Network! We play the lively Nick Rave track called  – The Heaven Empire Radio Edit and Christie Grace with a really mellow tune called Lions Roar.

Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement. Have an amazing week!

  1. Missed you! A heartfelt welcome back!

  4. Jason and Karen,
I have been studying Buddhism for 15 years and just came across your podcasts a few months ago. I have listened to everyone over and over. I finally found a district group here in my city in Utah. I have been looking for more on every site I could find. So, I am very happy to see you have been able to begin again. I listened to how much you put into having it be a transformative experience for the lives of those that listened…….
You have made an incredible difference.
I would hope that you return to regular podcasts and with the newer technology it might be easier on you?
Also For people to contribute is good karma for you and us.
    Is there a way?

  18. Wondered what happened to you both. Found your podcasts a couple of years ago when I first became a member. I loved every one. And to hear William’Street voice after all these years from watching him in the 70’s on Tomorrow’so World, who would have thought I would have our faith in Nichiren in common. Heartfelt thanks for all you have both done and are doing. You certainly continue to inspire me to create podcasts myself. Been meaning to start this year but had many obstacles which I have overcome. Next Year I will start using my voice again. I was a radio broadcaster on a music station during the 90’summer and so need to tap into my passion which now includes our practice. NMRK. Warmest Dj Angie Dee.

  19. Dear Jason & Karen

Blessings to you both – and to William Woollard – for another enticing, inviting, inspirationally powerful Buddhist Podcast.

Every word – plus the groovy music – was much appreciated by me and my District (Burnham South & Cippenham) members, new and older, while we listened together last evening!

Cheers, love & daimoku as always to you and yours, Lx

I discovered your website a month or so ago. I have recently began an exploration of Nichiren Buddhism and your podcasts have furthered my understanding tremendously. Especially enjoy listening to William Woollard’s readings. Looks like you’ve been away for a while. Hope you are both well and look forward to your return. 24. Hi Jason and Karen

I recently discovered your podcasts after a friend recommended them and I especially enjoyed listening to William read the Reluctant Buddhist and also listening to The Buddha,Geoff and Me. I had read the book, but it was really great to hear it read. I have really enjoyed listening to the experiences from members around the globe, such encouragement. Thank you both so much for creating these podcasts. I just wondered what had happened as I cant seem to find any after January 2015?
Wishing you both tremendous happiness and good health.

  25. Hi Jason and Karen,
It’s great to discover you have started up again – I enjoyed listening to all your earlier podcasts while walking / jogging around beautiful Milton Keynes here in the UK over the last few years.

I hope the adventure in Canada is going well. I visited Calgary and the Rockies a few years ago, and the scenery is breathtaking! (even more so than MK) 🙂

Very best wishes from me and Wendy.

  26. Hello you two,

I’m so happy that you two are back. I didn’t know if you would continue putting out podcasts. I can’t imagine how much work it must be to produce these shows. I’m sure i’m not alone in saying I really appreciate these podcasts. Haven’t listened to this one yet but it’s on my playlist and it will be listened to soon.

    Take care,
