A Buddhist Podcast – The Reluctant Buddhist – Chapter 14

Welcome back to another episode of A Buddhist Podcast. Tonight we very fortunate to have William Woollard reading about the Buddhist view of eternal life in Chapter 14 of his popular book, The Reluctant Buddhist.
We have great experiences from Janet Moorhouse in France, Lance Fallin in Arizona and Eleanor Khartchenko in Italy. As usual we have some great music for you. The first two tracks we play are from the Podsafe Music Network at musically.com. We play Geoff Smith (the creator of our theme music) who performs is famous track, Not on the radio. The second track is by the talented young Australian, Lee Coulter, who performs She fell in love with the mirror. Finally we have a wonderful song written by Howard Jones and Dunkan Sheik and performed by Howard Jones on his Album, Ordinary Heroes, its called Someone You Need. ‘behind the scenes’ of recording a buddhist podcast [hd]

i managed to record a little three minute video at the home of jason and his family recently.  it was pretty rushed but i think the video is a good introduction to people about the buddhist podcast from a video perspective and this will be the first video that we will use for distribution over video sites to raise more awareness of the podcast.  

i hope you like it and would love your feedback.  would you like to see more video content, maybe interviews?

We are back with another show! On tonights show we ahve the wonderful William Woollard reading Chapter 13 from his best selling book, The Reluctant Buddhist. We also have experiences from Claudia Blaszynzky in Sacramento and Robert ‘Skip’ Williams in Hong Kong.
We play three tracks tonight! We have Danko Jones with First Date, Robin Lukas with Smile and Beth Thornley with Mr Lovely! We would like to thank Robin Lukas for letting us play Smile and also express our thanks to Musicalley.com for making the music of Danko Jones and Beth Thornley available for us to play.

A Buddhist Podcast – The Drum at the Gate of Thunder

Welcome to another episode of A Buddhist Podcast! On tonights show we have the kind and generous William Woollard who reads Chapter 12 from his book, The Reluctant Buddhist! We also have Jason reading President Ikeda’s editorial from 16th March 2010.

We are back with another show! On tonights show we are very lucky to have a wonderful talk by Howard Hill from London in the UK!

A Buddhist Podcast – The Reluctant Buddhist – Chapter 11

We have fought to create the space to bring you tonights show! On this show we have the gracious and kind William Woollard reading Chapter 11 from his book, The Reluctant Buddhist. Its a very interesting chapter called, A Long and Healthy Life. The Reluctant Buddhist is selling extraordinarily well throughout the world and we understand is soon to be published in Spanish as well!

In addition, we an experience from Beth Bradley in Austin, Texas, USA. We have news about the forthcoming Iphone App for the show and the Ebooks of the lectures that will soon be available. We have shoutouts that cover the world, literally! We are also very pleased to have a poem called Sunflowers from the amazing Bob Kemp.

We have two tracks to play you tonight. The first is The World Is Yours by Stuart Powell and the second is a very catchy tune by Matt Boreham, its called Conversations! We would like to thank both of them for letting us play their music on the show.

Jason is going to be at SXSW in Austin Texas from the 10 – 16th March and if you are there he would love to meet you! On the 17th March Jason will be in Sacramento and would love the opportunity to meet with you there as well!

A Buddhist Podcast – The Reluctant Buddhist – Chapter 10

Happy New Year Everyone!

On tonights show we have the stalwart William Woollard reading Chapter 10, ‘The Challenge of Change’ from his book, The Reluctant Buddhist.

Jason reads SGI President Ikeda‘s New Year Message and Karen reads two great experiences from young women in England and the United States. As usual we have shoutouts that cross the globe and some great music! Tonight we play Harley Loudon’s track, “Will You Listen” on the PMN. Also on the PMN we play Stingray’s great track, ‘143’. Not on the PMN, but recorded in our kitchen we also play a new track called, ‘Rocks for Gold’ by the one and only Jimmy Golding.

There is a competition, if you have one of our new decals, you can take a photograph of where you have put it and post it on Flickr.com or elsewhere and send the link and your mail address and size to us on the show. The image we like best, wins a TShirt! If you haven’t got one of our stickers/decals then write then send us an email and we will put them in the post!
